New Blog.

So, I’ve moved – again. The reason behind this is that I wanted to start a blog that was the story of my life, my husband’s life, my child’s life and everything in-between. I didn’t want my blog to focus on only one thing (for example, Parker). I know a blog can be whatever you make it (just like life) but I am so focused on a title that I cannot focus my attention elsewhere. Everything I had written was strictly about Parker (not that that’s a bad thing) instead of just everyday happenings, thoughts, so on and so forth. Don’t ask. I’m just that left (or right) brained, O.C.D., whatever…

With that said, I bring you my new blog. It’s a story of life together as husband, wife, child and all of the life changing greatness in-between. Enjoy.

For Me?

So last weekend I “thought” I was attending an award ceremony on behalf of my husband’s heroic actions as a police officer. I was sadly mistaken. We arrived to what I believed was an award ceremony, parked the car, and walked towards the front door. Now looking back I understand why everyone was pushing me forward, holding doors, saying “after you”, etc. Then inches away from the entrance my husband shoves me through two swinging doors. I remember saying “This is for YOU. I don’t know anyone.” In that instant I was greeted with bright flashes of cameras and about 75 people yelling “Surprise!”. I froze. In that moment all I heard was “Congratulations!” coming from the blur of people. I thought to myself  ”Wow, this is a really big deal for my husband.” Then it happened. I looked around. I started seeing familiar faces. Friends. Family. I couldn’t believe they were all there to support Doug. Wait. They weren’t. They were there for me. For my birthday. My surprise party. The party my husband spent the past 2 months planning, plotting and sneaking around for. I stopped, it clicked, I looked at Doug and he said “This is for YOU, happy birthday!” Then in true Kelly form I said “Get the “F” out!” I know, classy.

The night was amazing. It was filled with family from afar, friends I haven’t seen in months and people I see everyday. My husband did an amazing job. He pulled it off. He was two steps ahead of me at all times. From asking his parents to make the food, to his sister picking up the cake, to my friend picking up my sisters from the airport, to my family driving in from Kentucky. He did it. He truly got me and I loved every single moment of it.

It was hands down the nicest thing someone has ever done for me. It was thoughtful and selfless and it made me feel like the single most special person in the world.  So here’s to my husband. You are an amazing man who I am truly so thankful for. Thank you for making my birthday (and life) incredible and complete. I adore you.

See my face here.

Junior Pilot.

As most of you know, my husband is a pilot for the City of Saint Louis Police Department. He probably has the most amazing job I’ve ever heard of. I mean, he flies a helicopter for a living. Really? Doesn’t get much sweeter than that if you ask me. So as you can imagine we are very big into helicopter anything in the Reinholz residence. Blankets, bottles, clothing, toys. You name it, we probably own it. So over the weekend we had to run out to the hanger to pick up his police car. While there, we snapped a few pictures of Parker at daddy’s work. I think I have a junior pilot on my hands. Enjoy.

On The Move.

It’s official. Parker is crawling. He has been rocking back and forth and back and forth for months, but now at 9 months he is moving…physically. I am so excited for the time in his life! Baby gates and padded furniture corners here we come.

I caught it all on tape. Check it out here.

Parker’s First Feature Film.

See what happens here when you let a 9 month old take over the controls. Utter chaos and a bit of dizziness.
